R. Edward Murphy. Ed Murphy is a native of King City, Missouri, and was born on October 1, 1954. He received his undergraduate degree from William Jewell College (B.A., summa cum laude, 1976) with studies at Oxford University, Oxford, England. Ed received his law degree in 1979 from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Ed is very involved in the community where he has been a member of the

Board of Education for the School District of St. Joseph since 1991 and coaches youth sports teams year-round. Ed and his wife Cheryl reside in St. Joseph with their three children. Ed primarily handles matters involving personal injury claims and litigation, business and commercial litigation, trust and estate disputes, wrongful death, construction law, employment and labor law and estate planning.
